Lonnie Quinn (Full names Lonnie William Quinn) is an American Emmy-award-winning weather journalist based in New York City. He currently serves as a lead weather anchor at WCBS-TV and chief weathercaster of CBS2 News at 5,6, and 11 weekdays. Lonnie also appears frequently on the sister radio station WCBS-AM 880 to anchor its weather reports. Prior to that, Quinn was a weather anchor for CBS This Morning Saturday.

Before joining WCBS-TV in 2007, Lonnie worked for WTVJ, the NBC-owned and operated station in Miami. Quinn received an Emmy award for “Best on Air Talent” while he served as the weather anchor on “Today in South Florida” for the station. Lonnie began working for the first time in a newsroom at WVIR in Charlottesville, Virginia. He was an evening news anchor and weekend, weather anchor. Quinn also worked at several different stations in Charlottesville. Prior to his forecast career, he was an actor playing various roles in different films.

Quinn had become one of Miami’s most popular on-air personalities by 2005, and he had successfully navigated the city through the most active hurricane season in history.
